Anti Corruption Establishment Multan Seeks Forensic Analysis Of Hospital Officials In Rs 18m Scam

Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan sought forensic analysis of signatures of current and former medical superintendents of Children Hospital Complex in Rs 18 million scam here on Friday.
Assistant Director Investigation, Malik Hassan Raza Khakhi, told APP that MS children hospital Mazhar-ul-Khaliq and former MS, Shahid Mahmood Bukhari were summoned to ACE Multan for investigations. Both officials denied the charges and claimed that the signatures on cheques were fake. The ACE has now sought the forensic analysis of cheques by experts in Lahore, the official said.
He said that the accused including the hospital's Accountant Syed Tabasher Hussain Naqvi, Junior clerk Muhammad Adeel in connvinace with Jahangir Bhatti, the medicine contractor and the owner of Vitro Diagnostic Services were allegedly involved in embezzlement of Rs 17.9 million during 2015-18.
ACE Multan registered case on November 7 against hospital officials and Jahangir Bhatti. He said that all the three accused were in ACE Multan custody on 8-day physical remand.
The official said, they sealed all the relevant record of the hospital and recovered Rs 4,150,000 (4.1m) from the accused so far.
