Begum Kulsum Nawaz's Demise Widely Condoled
Expressing his sorrow, Prime Minister Imran Khan, in his message, described Begum Kulsoom, wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, as a "brave lady." According to PM Office statement, he said the government would provide all assistance to the bereaved family, as per law.
"May Allah bless the departed soul eternal peace at Heaven-Amen", Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor quoted COAS as saying on his official twitter handle.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and solace to the bereaved family.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, in his condolence message, expressed condolence and sympathies with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers and members of the bereaved family.
Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari expressed deep grief over Begum Kulsoom's demise while Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, in his condolence message, extended sympathies to the bereaved family.
PML-N Chairman Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said he was with the Sharif family in this difficult time.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani sent his condolences to the bereaved family while Awami National Party leader Asfandyar Wali, in his condolence message, said Begum Kulsoom Nawaz fought against the dictatorship.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Faisal Javed, in his tweet, said he was deeply saddened to hear the news of passing away of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
