Broken Road Divider Along Kashmir Highway Open Invitation To Fatal Accidents

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :Residents of Federal capital demanded maintenance of broken road dividers with radium reflector along Kashmir high way as it was giving an open invitation to mishaps.
Broken dividers can be easily seen at different places near Sector G-10 signal, PSO petrol pump along Kashmir Highway that has made extremely difficult for two and four-wheelers to drive, especially during night hours.
A commuter standing near Sector G-11 signal on Kashmir Highway said the broken dividers are causing accidents, as a majority of pedestrians prefer using these dividers to cross the roads instead of using a proper passage.
Another road user Arsalan said plight of the commuter's increases several times, especially at night, as the glare of the vehicles coming from the opposite direction is a big distraction for drivers.
The Islamabad Traffic Police spokesman said dividers have reportedly been broken by some city residents or mostly by the slum area people for their convenience, ignoring the fact that these may cause fatal mishaps.
He said a number of complains had been received regarding�broken�road dividers, adding that they have forwarded the case to CDA official to repair these road dividers also install radium reflector by ensuring the standard material that they could not get break them in a short time.
