Eleven Abducted Farmers Recovered: Rahim Yar Khan Police

Rahim Yar Khan Police and personnel of the Special Operation Unit have recovered 11 abducted farmers in a successful operation in the Kachaa area of Rahim Yar Khan.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018 ) :Rahim Yar Khan Police and personnel of the Special Operation Unit have recovered 11 abducted farmers in a successful operation in the Kachaa area of Rahim Yar Khan.

The dacoit named Nadir Sakhani, who was also involved in heinous crimes including murder, dacoity, robbery and kidnapping for ransom, was killed during the operation.

According to the details, the farmers along with their cattles had been abducted by Nadir Sakhani and his accomplices in the area of Kaccha Mahazi in the midnight of 12th July.

Talib Hussain, Khan Muhammad, Shafiq Ahmed, Ghulam Haider, Ghulam Mustafa, Bakshuanda, Jaam Doda, Aashiq, Rafiq Ahmed, Hassan Bakhsh and Jaam Kora were kidnapped and had been made hostage by dacoit gang for the last five days on different islands in the river.

IGP Punjab Syed Kaleem Imam had directed RPO Bahawalpur Muhammad Faisal Rana, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Muhammad Athar Waheed and personnel of the special operation unit to take prompt action against the incident upon which these teams launched operation against Nadir in the area of Acha Bangla police station.

Two days long operation ended on the death of Nadir Sakhani while all the captured farmers were recovered safely by the police.

IG Punjab lauded the efforts of Rahim Yar Khan Police and personnel of the special operation unit on completing this operation successfully and said that Punjab police has once again proved that they can do anything to ensure the safety and security of their citizens. He further said that police cops and personnel of SOU through their professional training ensured that this operation won't affect the victims and that their release was the top priority of the police.

He also said that it is the duty of the police to deal strictly with all the anti-social elements and for that purpose Punjab police are utilizing all its efforts and resources.
