Says if he had arrived six minutes earlier, he would also have been targeted.
Peshawar (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th July, 2018) The uncle of martyred Haroon Bilour and former Federal minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has said that Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken back all security.
He said that he would have also been killed in the attack on Awami National Party’s (ANP) election rally had he reached earlier.
According to media reports, Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said that the chief justice has taken back all the security.
He further said that if he had arrived six minutes earlier, he would also have been targeted. He said that they will decide timely about which candidate will replace Haroon Bilour.
He said that the party has no objection if Haroon Bilour's widow wants to contest in his place.
The ANP leader said that it is too early to say anything about the election results. Many people think that something is cooking.
Earlier, despite Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s claim, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour said that his nephew Haroon Bilour was not killed by the banned outfit but by their own people.
“My nephew was not martyred by TTP but people who benefited from his death are involved … not TTP but our own people killed him and we have all the details,” Bilour said while speaking to a local news channel on Sunday.
“What benefit TTP could achieve for killing my nephew?” he questioned, adding that their opponents thought ANP will refuse to contest polls out of fear.
At least 20 people were killed while over 60 others were injured as a suicide bomber blew himself up at an election rally of ANP at Yaka Toot area of the city on July 10.
The blast also claimed the life of Haroon Bilour, candidate of ANP for PK-78.
Following the attack, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed election on the provincial assembly seat PK-78.
