Imran Khan To Wear Sherwani On Oath-taking Ceremony

Imran Khan is set to take the oath of prime minister on August 18.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th August, 2018) Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that Imran Khan will take oath as prime minister wearing a Sherwani.
The PTI spokesperson said that founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had also sworn in wearing a Sherwani. Imran Khan is following in his footsteps and will wear Sherwani on his oath-taking ceremony.
PTI chairman Imran Khan, who has secured a simple majority in the polls required to form his government, is set to take the oath of prime minister on August 18.
The PTI chairman is often resembled to the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
In view of this, several PTI supporters had also demanded him to wear Sherwani and Jinnah cap for his oath-taking ceremony.
Granting the wish, Imran Khan has decided to wear Sherwani for his oath-taking.
The PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly with 116 general seats while with the addition of the general and reserved seats of its allies the party claimed to have secured at least 173 seats.
