
Independence Day Festivities Begin With Tree Plantation Drive In Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Aug, 2025) The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zain-ul-Abideen Memon formally inaugurated the special Independence Day celebrations titled "Ma’raka-e-Haq" on Friday by planting a tree at Sir CJ Institute of Psychiatry.
A large number of district officials and school students were present at the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized the importance of tree plantation for the prosperity of the country and a healthier environment. “It is our collective responsibility to contribute to the greening of our beloved homeland. Planting trees during Independence Day not only promotes an eco-friendly attitude but also sends a positive message to future generations,” he said.
He further stated that under the Ma’raka-e-Haq campaign, various events, awareness programs and social welfare activities will be held to help citizens truly understand the significance of Independence Day.
In line with the Deputy Commissioner’s directives, a tree plantation campaign was also organized by the Mukhtiarkar Latifabad at Bagh-e-Mustafa Park, Unit No. 8, which was attended by officers of various government departments, local representatives and a large number of citizens.
