Lawyers Stage Protest; Damage Public Properties

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) ::A large number of lawyers Wednesday staged protest demonstration to press for their old demand of establishment of Lahore High Court Bench in Faisalabad.
They blocked all types of vehicular traffic by burning old tyres on the road in front of the Session Court.
The police officials deputed at main gate of the court closed the gate keeping in view gravity of the situation, but the protestors stormed into Sessions Court and damaged chairs and other property.
The protestors also damaged police mobile van parked outside the Sessions Court with clubs.
They also entered into the office of Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar situated near the court.
The deputy commissioner who was chairing a meeting at the time in committee room was forced to stop it.
Meanwhile, Ulema of different schools of thoughts condemned the lawyers behavior with deputy commissioner when a meeting of District Peace Committee was going on.
The Ulema said this type of protest was not right way of demanding Lahore High Court Bench in the division.
They said establishment of Lahore High Court Bench was an old demand of the lawyers as well as civil society and they fully supported the movement but misbehave with officials and damaging public private properties was against the norms.
