Mardan Police Bust Car Lifters' Gang

The district police busted a gang of car lifters, arresting four of its members and recovering huge quantity of arms at various places during operation conducted against miscreants in the area here on Friday.

MARDAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Dec, 2018 ) :The district police busted a gang of car lifters, arresting four of its members and recovering huge quantity of arms at various places during operation conducted against miscreants in the area here on Friday.

The DPO told media the police also arrested a murderer who allegedly killed his wife the other day.

He said accused were involved in various criminal cases and wanted to police of different districts of the province, and added city police station recovered huge arms in different operations.

He said police was committed to protecting lives and property of citizens and efficiently performing its role to ensure durable peace.

However, he urged people to cooperate with police and keep eye on suspected people to maintain harmony and brotherhood in society.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed and two others injured as a cylinder exploded in Top area of Swabi district.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
