Masood Khan Elected As New President Of AJK

MUZZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th August, 2016) : Seasoned diplomat (Retd) Masood Khan has been elected as President of Azad Jammun & Kashmir State here Tuesday for the next five year constitutional term. According to Election Commission, election held at the lodging hall of AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzzaffarabad in which 48 members of both houses of AJK parliament- AJK Legislative Assembly and AJK council- participated in the process.
The victorious Masood Khan- the candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) secured 42 votes against his only opponent Ch.
