NAB Gets Illegal Allotment Of Over 10000 Acres Of State Land Cancelled

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2018 ) :In an investigation against the revenue authorities on allegations of fake allotments of land in Thana Boola Khan taluka of Jamshoro district findings of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have led to cancellation of allotment of thousands of acres of land.
The NAB's spokesman Rizwan Soomro informed in a statement here on Thursday that on the basis of irrefutable evidence the bureau has got more than 10,000 acres of state land cancelled by the revenue authorities of Jamshoro.
The NAB estimated value of the said land at around Rs.75 billion, he added. Soomro told that the investigation was in the final stage after which reference would be filed against the accused persons.
The spokesman recalled that the NAB Karachi in a series of raids on April 17 had arrested 3 accused persons in a mega land fraud case from Jamshoro district.
He identified them as a Revenue Officer of Hyderabad Ghulam Nabi Mallah, City Surveyor from Directorate of City Survey Hyderabad Liyar and a private person Hanif Lalani.According to him, they were allegedly involved in illegal acquisition of 731 acres of land, worth Rs.11 billion, in Thana Bula Khan taluka. Soomro said that piece of land was also part of the said 10,000 acres.
