Ninth Anniversary Of Rescue1122 Attock Observed

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2019 ) :Deputy Commissioner Attock Ishrat Ullah Niazi has said that Rescue 1122 is playing tremendous role in saving human life and assets in case of any emergency. Rescue 1122 is not only fulfilling it's national obligation and duty but also fulfilling religious obligation.

He said this while addressing a function on the 9th anniversary of Rescue 1122 Attock here Wednesday. On the occasion DPO Attock Hasan Asad Alvi, Incharge Rescue 1122 Dr Ashfaq Mian, CEO Health Dr Mohsin Ashraf were also present.

The DC said that because of its timely services, people have full confidence in Rescue 1122 and said that other departments must also follow its example to win the confidence of the public. He lauded the services of Rescue department and appreciated all its staff.

DPO Attock Hasan Asad Alvi also lauded the services of the department and said that every person of the country praises the services of Rescue department.

Incharge Rescue 1122 Attock Dr Mian Ashfaq while addressing on the occasion, highlighted the achievements of Rescue 1122 and apprised the DC about the problems being faced by the department which included need of modern equipment and more land for parking of its ambulances and other vehicles.

He said that during last one year, Rescue 1122 Attock responded to 294800 calls which included 14000 emergencies of different natures and all these calls were responded well in time during 2018.

Dr. Mian Ashfaq said that these calls included 2437 accidents, 9090 medical emergencies, 196 fire incidents, 184 crime, 43 drown cases while 1476 miscellaneous incidents were handled. Dr Ashfaq said that every emergency was responded with in 5 minutes average time. He said that 14435 patients were provided first aid facility while 12565 patients were shifted to hospitals. He said that the ambulances of 1122 Attock, shifted 4917 patients to different hospitals of Rawalpindi. He said that beside this, the Rescue department imparted first aid training to different individuals of 66 union councils of Attock district besides holding Safety Program seminars in more than one hundred schools.
