People have demanded immediate halt to the growing drugs business and separate rooms for the women in police stations during an open Katchery conducted by DIG Malakand Range Saeed Khan Wazir here at Timergara Rest House.

DPO Lower Dir Shahbaz Wazir, MPA Haji Bahadar Khan, tehsil Nazim Imranuallah and PPP leader Mehmud Zeb were present on the occasion.
The area elders presented scores of problems to the DIG including growing traffic mess in Timergara Bazaar, narcotics trade and allocation of separate rooms for the women in the police stations of the district. However, the people in attendance appreciated the performance of Dir Lower police.
The DIG assured people about the resolution of problems presented in the open court. Various police stations are under completion in the district wherein separate rooms would be allocated for the female.
The scope of Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) is being extended to the police station level, he said adding that to avoid getting police traffic challans for traffic violations, the commuters must follow traffic rules.
He informed that Lady Desk are being setup in all the police stations and assured that candidates who passed the NTS test for induction in police service would be adjusted. He said that people's support was required to overcome the problem of Riba in the district.
