PML-N, PPP Leaders Unite, Shake Hands For Avoiding Corruption: Shafqat Mehmood

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jan, 2019 ) :Federal Minister for education Shafqat Mehmood on Tuesday said that leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had started expressing solidarity with each other to avoid corruption charges.

Both the leaders including Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif had shaken hands with each other to protect themselves from the corruption cases, he stated while talking to a private news channel.

Earlier, the leaders of PPP and PML-N were the worst enemy or rivals of each other but after exposing corruption by NAB, both the persons came closer with motives to protect themselves from money laundering related cases.

To a question about the visit of Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry to Karachi, he said we don't have agenda to topple the Sindh government, but the governance in Karachi was very bad.

Shafqat Mehmood said the PPP had been running the government of Sindh for the last ten years but the leaders of PPP could not improve the condition of Karachi.

The PTI wanted to improve the dirty atmosphere of Sindh province by initiating solid steps for development and welfare of the people, he added.

In reply to a question about military courts, he said the matter of extension would be discussed at the forum of Parliament.

To another question, he said the Opposition parties created chaos when the Prime Minister started first speech in the Parliament. It was a regretful act expressed by the Opposition leaders during the address of the PM to the Parliament. He said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), never exhibit negative behavior during the speech of Nawaz Sharif.

The Minister said that Asif Ali Zardari had plundered the national money with both hands and now, that the person of PPP had demanded of the Chairman NAB to appear before the assembly.

He said that PPP and PML-N cases had been registered before the formation of PTI government.

The present government, he said had nothing to do with the cases of PPP and PML-N.
