Private Sector Partners Agree To Spur Innovation In Healthcare, Medical Education

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Aug, 2018 ) :Entrepreneurs, researchers and healthcare practitioners from three private sector organisations - PharmEvo, the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN) and Aga Khan University will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to support startups based at AKU's health incubator, the Innovation and Incubation Space (i2s).
According to an announcement here on Sunday the event will see the partners agree to build the capacity of young entrepreneurs as they develop their startups into ventures that solve present day's challenges in healthcare and medical education.
Four startups were said to pitch their ideas at the event in a"Shark Tank" format as they showcase how their ideas have developed during their incubation period at i2s.
AKU President, Firoz Rasul; Director of Digital Health and Strategic Projects, PharmEvo, Dr Zakiuddin Ahmed and President of OPEN (Karachi chapter) Dr Asad Mian will sign the MoU.
