PTI Govt Not To Spare Any Element Or Leader Found Involved In Money Laundering: Vawda

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Nov, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Water Resources, Faisal Vawda on Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), government would not spare any element or leader of political party found involved in money laundering or fake account activities.

All the concerned institutions would follow the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan for bringing the looted money back to this country, he stated while talking to a private news channel.

The PTI government would ensure rule of law in the country and apprehend those who had made assets beyond their known resources. He added that those elements who hid the money abroad to avoid action would also be taken back through a treaty.

No one was above the law in the country, he said adding that FIA had been given directives to nab those involved in illegal activities like money laundering.

We are signing treaties with different countries so that persons could be brought back through red warrant, he said.

To a question, the minister said Imran Khan as prime minister of the country was not scared of taking action against any leader of the past government or any high official.

The PTI government under the dynamic leadership and vision of Imran Khan, wanted to streamline the system besides improving all the institutions.

In reply to a question, Vawda said Imran Khan as prime minister of Pakistan had to visit Saudi Arabia, and China for strengthening the economy.

He said PM Imran Khan had to ask for loan facility due to the policies of the past government which had destroyed the economy.

As far as matter of Ishaq Dar was concerned, he said if the former finance minister had no link with money laundering then why he had asked for political asylum from UK and hiding abroad.

The minister suggested that Ishaq Dar and other persons who left the country to avoid cases should have landed here to face the cases.

He said Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazal ur Rehman should not have fear if they did not do anything wrong.
