ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jan, 2019 ) :The Punjab Bar Council (PBC) condemned the so called encounter of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), in which innocent members of a family were killed at Sahiwal.
Lawyers from across the province, also observed full day strike on Monday and demanded the government fair inquiry and arrest of the culprits.
In its statement issued here, the PBC expressed solidarity with the departed souls and the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.
Four people including three members of a family were killed in an alleged encounter in Sahiwal on Saturday. CTD personnel said they had killed a local commander of militant organisation Daesh and three others in the operation. However, eyewitnesses and three children, whose parents were killed, disputed the claim.
