The chief minister said that law and order situation of the province should be improved by making every possible effort to protect the life and property of public. He said that Sahiwal incident was tragic and all the sympathies of Punjab government were with the family of deceased Khalil and the affected family would be fully taken care of.

"You will be fully supported for providing relief to the masses. You should perform your duties with confidence and problems of the people should be solved on priority basis," he added.

The PTI government, he mentioned, had freed the administration and police from political pressures, assuring, "We have not done and will not do the same as had been done with the police and administration in the past. The field officers are part of our team and we will work collectively to improve the governance standards in the province." Usman Buzdar maintained that law and order situation was not satisfactory and needed to be improved. He directed the Commissioners and RPOs to continue indiscriminate operations against the land grabbers and also hold open-courts in their respective districts to resolve the common man's issues. The open-door policy should also be implemented in letter and spirit, he added.

Usman Buzdar said that police should adopt a public-friendly attitude and 'all-is-good' report would not help them any more, as they would have to take practical measures and give better results. Similarly, contacts with the people as well as inter-departmental coordination should be further improved as no leniency or negligence would be tolerated with regard to the mission of public relief, he added.
