Punjab Seeks Development Proposals From MPAs For ADP 2018-19

Proposals for development schemes have been sought from members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) on the instructions of the provincial government under the annual development plan 2018-19.

The MPAs have also been asked to submit their suggestions about the ongoing schemes and have been given the authority to discontinue or continue the ADP schemes that have not been approved yet, said an official release, issued here Friday.
These views were expressed at a meeting held at Multan Circuit House, chaired by provincial minister for Management of Professional Development Department (MPDD) Syed Hussain Jahanian Gardezi to discuss proposals for development schemes under the ADP 2018-19 in Multan division.
The MPAs from all provincial assembly Constituencies in Multan division, besides special assistant to Punjab CM Javed Akhtar Ansari, Punjab Prisons Minister Zawar Warraich attended the meeting.
It was informed that MPAs would submit development proposals worth Rs 100 million each for their respective constituencies, the release added.
Commissioner Multan Nadeem Irshad Kiyani said that Punjab government has instructed officials to take MPAs into confidence on development proposals. He said that work on development schemes would be accelerated.
Deputy secretary CM Office South Jamshed Hussain Siyal said that the development schemes would be made part of the new Punjab budget 2018-19 adding that in view of the annual development budget 2018-19 all MPAs would give development schemes worth Rs 100 million each to meet development needs of their respective constituencies.
MPAs including Nazir Ahmad Khan, Syed Khawar Ali Shah, Rai Zahoor Ahmad, Nadia Zia, Barrister Waseem Badozai, Zaheeruddin Alizai, Mian Abdullah Tariq, Muhammad Saleem Labar, Malik Mazhar Abbad Raan, Ali Raza Khakwani, Shahida Ahmad, besides officialswere present.
