RPO Directs DPOs To Ensure Security Of Election Candidates

Regional Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Rana directed to provide security to all candidates of General Elections 2018 for their political meetings, rallies and public gatherings.

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2018 ) :Regional Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Rana directed to provide security to all candidates of General Elections 2018 for their political meetings, rallies and public gatherings.

In a written order issued to District Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr Muhammad Iqbal, District Police Officer Bahawalnagar Capt (retd) Mustansar Feroze and District Police Officer Rahim Yar Khan Athar Waheed, RPO said that all the candidates must be made bound to inform local administration about political gatherings and rallies so that security arrangements are done before time.

He further stated that candidates should include their volunteers in security team to identify people in order to maintain security.

Regional Police Officer also directed District Police Officers to hold meetings with candidates and ask them to follow rules and regulations set by Election Commission of Pakistan besides apprising them of keeping security guards carrying licensed arms and with no criminal record for their personal security.

Regional Police Officer also directed to do technical sweeping of venues of political gatherings because security of people and candidates top priority and no negligence can be tolerated in this regard.
