Shaakri Gang Busted In Bahawalpur

The police conducted raid in Yazman and successfully arrested three bandits including the mastermind of notorious Shaakri gang wanted in several cases lodged against them.
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :The police conducted raid in Yazman and successfully arrested three bandits including the mastermind of notorious Shaakri gang wanted in several cases lodged against them.
Police sources said that Shaakri gang was involved in several heinous crimes including robbery, theft and others. Local political leadership had raised the issue with higher police authorities. "The senior police officials formed a task team headed by SP (Investigation) Bahawalpur, Muhammad Saleem Khan Niazi to arrest the gang," they said.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team headed by SP (Investigation) and including other senior police officials raided a place in Yazman area and successfully arrested three members of the gang including the mastermind.
Three members of Shaakri gang were taken into custody including the mastermind, Aasif alias Shaakri, a police official said, adding that illegal weapons, cash, stolen vehicle and mobile phone sets were also recovered from the gang.
He maintained that several cases had already been registered against the gang at different police stations.
A special investigation team had been interrogating the accused. Further probe was underway.
