LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 20th April 2019) Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has vowed to bring back Asad Umar in the Federal cabinet.
“I will meet Asad Umar as I go back to Rawalpindi and ask him [Asad Umar] to join the federal minister,” said the Awami Muslim League president who is part of Imran Khan cabinet and won MNA seat from Rawalpindi.
He said Khan offered Asad the portfolio of other ministry and he hoped PM offered will be considered. He dispelled the notion that ministers were removed on performance.
"Only one minister was removed and it was due to the issue of rising prices of medicine,” he said, adding Asad has not been removed but he had resigned himself.
The Railways minister who earlier attended the meeting at Bani Gala (PM residence in Islamabad) said that no minister was aggrieved over the reshuffle.
He said revolutionary changes will be introduced in the Pakistan Railways in coming days. He said the PR will soon achieve its lost glory back.
