Sindh Govt launches vocational training progammes in the province: Shamim Mumtaz

NAUSHEHRO FEROZE, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : Government of Sindh has launched vocational training programmes for youth to make them able to get employment opportunities on merit.

This was stated by the provincial Minister for Social Welfare Ms. Shamim Mumtaz while presiding over a meeting of the officers here on Tuesday. Ms. Shamim Mumtaz said in order to provide vocational and technical training to the youth, efforts must be taken with coordination of Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) so that people of rural areas could be provided training opportunities at their doorstep.

The provincial Minister directed the concerned officers to conduct registration of only genuine NGO’s and the registration of bogus NGO’s should be cancelled. She was of the opinion that Sindh Government has already imposed educational emergency in the province to enhance standard of education.

was providing jobs to the youth on merit and advertisement had been published in national as well as regional newspapers in this respect. Ms. Shamim Mumtaz has appreciated the performance of vocational training schools and centres in the Naushehro Feroze district.

The social welfare officer Sayed Ali Ahmed Shah in a briefing told that 6 vocational training centres, 2 libraries, 2 schools and two coaching centres were functional in 5 Talukas of the district.

He informed the meeting that 2224 disability certificates have so far been issued to the special persons. He briefed the meeting about the working of the NGO’s and said that 72 NGO's were actively working in the district.

Later, the Minister also visited Moon star School in Moro and inaugurated computer lab of the school. The Deputy Director Social Welfare Shehbaz Mazhar Sahito, Saleem Ahmed Khanzada, Naeem Ahmed Memon and others were also present on the occasion.
