FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2018 ) ::The Faisalabad Development Authorities (FDA) Wednesday sealed four illegal housing colonies besides removing their illicit constructions and sale offices.
A spokesman for the FDA said that the illegal residential schemes were Model Town Extension Chak No 208-RB, two Azafi Abadis at Canal Road, Royal Garden near Khannuana Bypass and Model Town Phase-1.
He said that formal letters had also been forwarded to the Managing Director (MD) Waster and Sanitation Agency (WASA), manager the Planning and Designing Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and the general manager (GM) Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to avoid from providing any facilities in these illegal housing colonies until and unless its developers get approval from the FDA.
He said that under Punjab Local Government Ordinance 2001 and the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976, all housing scheme developers were bound to seek prior permission from the FDA before developing any residential scheme but these housing colonies were developed without fulfilling legal requirements.
Taking notice of irregularities, the FDA sealed these illegal residential schemes and demolished their constructions and sale offices besides writing a letter to the district collector for not registering sale and purchase of any plot in these colonies.
The FDA has also directed developers of these colonies to complete all legal requirements before sale any plot in the house schemes, otherwise, strict action would be taken against them without any discrimination, the spokesman added.
