Tribute Paid To Martyrs Of Army Public School Peshawar

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Dec, 2018 ) :Community Welfare Initiatives (CWI) organized a memorable ceremony here in the auditorium of Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Sunday evening to pay tribute to the martyrs of Army Public school, Peshawar.
Station Commander, Rawalpindi Brig. Shahzad Tanveer was the chief guest, while Member National Assembly Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority Muhammad Arif Abbasi, Chairman Punjab Horticulture Authority Asif Mehmood, senators, members Parliament , notables, heads of educational institutions, members of civil society, students and survivors of APS attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Brig Shahzad Tanveer said the great sacrifices of martyrs of APS could not be forgotten which united the entire nation and leadership at one platform and Armed forces started a massive campaign to root out terrorism from Pakistan.
He appreciated the efforts of CWI for organizing the ceremony to commemorate the martyrs of APS.
Sheikh Rashid Shafiq in his address said it was a tragic act of terrorism which affected each and every Pakistani and the way Armed forces intercepted terrorist and restore the confidence of staff and parents.
He also admired the leadership role of Chief of Army Staff for eliminating terrorism.
MPA Farah Agha said this was a great tragedy and the whole nation stood with the Pak Army.
Head of CWI Ms.Yasmeen Farooqi briefed about the organization and paid tributes to the martyrs of APSPeshawar.
Students of various educational institutions presented speeches and tableaus to commemorate the sacrifices of APS, Peshawar students.
