FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2018 ) ::The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has clinched another distinctive milestone with attaining the 4th position among 461 universities of the Islamic world.
A spokesman for the UAF said here Sunday that the ranking was carried out by the Information Technology University - Quality and Research Ranking (ITU-QRR) while the position was made on the basis of its valuable contribution to agriculture and biological sciences and veterinary category.
The statistics released this week declared the UAF number one university among 101 universities of the country in the said categories, he added. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Iqbal Zafar has described the new ranking as a remarkable accomplishment and matter of pride for faculty, scientists, alumni, students and staff.
He dedicated the ranking to the collective efforts, hard work and determination of each and every member of the UAF community in the pursuit of excellence. "We could not be more proud of this significant achievement, without thanks to UAF faculty and their outstanding research and teaching performance," he said.
The ranking, he said, would further cement the belief that the UAF is indeed the finest university in the Muslim world, yet there is much work to do if we are to be where we need to be, clearly recognized as one of the 100 finest universities of the world. APP/aar/ia/gmf/rsd
