
USFCo Discusses Telecommunication Services In Un-served Areas

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) :Universal Service Fund Company (USFCo) 46th board of directors meeting here on Tuesday discussed development of telecommunication services in un-served and under- served areas across the country. The Chairperson, Board of Directors, USFCo and the Minister of State for IT Anusha Rahman Khan chaired the meeting said a press release. The Board of Directors took in to consideration the important upcoming projects of USFCo including the Telecenters, small lots, establishment of computer labs initially in 100 girl's schools run under Islamabad Capital Administration and the launch of Broadband for sustainable development projects for providing 3g services in North and South Waziristan.
Further, the administrative matters of Universal Service Fund Company were also taken in to consideration. Other Board members including the Secretary IT; Rizwan Bashir Khan, Member Telecom; Mudassar Hussain, Chairman PTA; Dr.
Ismail Shah, VP ISPs of Pakistan; Azfar Manzoor, Chairman CAOP; Kaukab Iqbal and CEO USF Co; Faisal Sattar also attended the meeting.
