ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th April, 2019) PANAMA JIT head Wajid Zia has recorded his statement in Accountability Court (AC) in accumulation of assets beyond known source of income case against former finance minister Ishaq Dar.He told the court that Ishaq Dar assets rose 91 time more in 2008 than 1992.Judge Muhammad Bashir of AC took up assets case against Ishaq Dar for hearing on Wednesday.The three co-accused in the case appeared in the court.PANAMA JIT head Wajid Zia while recording his statement said accounts were opened in Bank of America, Albark, Al-Taufiq Investment and Emirates Bank at the behest of Ishaq Dar.
JIT recorded statements of all including Saeed Ahmad while record was collected from NAB, FIA, FBR and all other relevant institutions. Saeed Ahmad refuted to have different bank accounts in his name.
But he accepted one foreign bank account which according to him was opened under the directives of Ishaq Dar for obtaining loans and running business.Wajid Zia will be cross questioned on May 8.
