MOSCOW, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2018 ) :Qatar offers a very unique and compact concept for the organization of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with all stadiums located close to each other and every street would turn 'into celebration' for football fans around the globe, a spokesperson for the local organizing committee said in an interview with TASS.

"Due to the nature of our World Cup it will be the first compact World Cup and everything will be close," Fatma Al Nuaimi, a spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), said adding that the shortest distance between the stadiums would be five minutes only while the longest distance could reach one hour.

"You can consider that everywhere in Qatar is going to be a celebration street for everybody due to the compact nature," she said. "Citizens of Qatar are used actually to hosting international sporting events, when we have a lot of fans across the world coming in." Speaking about the state law on the prohibition of alcohol consumption out of hotel borders for foreign visitors, Al Nuaimi said that "Alcohol is already available now in Doha and during the tournament it will be available in designated areas.

" Qatar won the right to host the matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on December 2, 2010.

FIFA officially announced in March 2015, that the 22nd edition of FIFA's flagship event would be played in November and December 2022, with the final match occurring on December 18, 2022 - Qatar National Day - and with the objective, in principle, of holding the tournament for 28 days.

The initiative to switch seasons for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar from being customarily in the summer time to a cooler November-December period was proposed in 2015 by former FIFA President Sepp Blatter, who cited the blazing summer heat in the Arab Persian Gulf state as the reason for the drastic change to the traditional timeframe.

Qatar is set to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup between November 21 and December 18 at seven venues across the country, namely in Doha, Lusail, Al-Wakrah, Al-Khor, Al-Rayyan, Umm Salal and Madinat ash Shamal.
