Fakhar Bashir has won Jashn-e-Azadi Marathon Race here on Tuesday.
FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Aug, 2018 ) :Fakhar Bashir has won Jashn-e-Azadi Marathon Race here on Tuesday.
Sports Department Faisalabad organized the marathon race to mark the 71st Independence Day.
Divisional Commissioner Asif Iqbal Chaudhry was chief guest.
The participants marched on various roads including DPS school Road, Jail Road, Agriculture University Road, Katchery Road, Halal-e-Ahmar Chowk, Chenab Club Chowk, Yadgar-e-Shuhda Chowk and Bilal Road. The 5 km race concluded after reaching at orginating point Iqbal Stadium.
Fakhar Bashir got first position whereas Muhammad Hasnain and Muhammad Riaz stood second and third in the marathon race.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner distributed prizes among the position holders.
The first position holder was awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- while second position holder got cash prize of Rs.7,000/-. The third position holder was awarded cash prize of Rs.5,000/- and a specialcash prize of Rs 1,000/- was given to each one of the remaining position holders.
