PARIS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Augst,2016) - Injured Paris Saint Germain pair Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani will sit out the French season curtain raiser when the champions take on Lyon on Saturday in the Trophie des Champions. Central defender Silva has a hip problem while Cavani misses the match, which traditionally pitches the champions against the Cup winners, with a calf strain.
The absence at the Paris spearhead however opens the door for up-and-coming centre-forward Jean-Kevin Augustin, who recently led his nation to the Under-19's European Championships title. also absent are midfield dynamo Adrien Rabiot and Poland enforcer Grzegorz Krychowiak, who are both suspended. On the bright side for PSG's new Spanish coach Unai Emery is the return to domestic action of Italian midfielder Marco Verratti, out with a groin problem since May.
