Golf: Aussie Pampling Leads Entering Third Round At Vegas

LOS ANGELES,, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) - Australia's Rod Pampling kept his one-stroke lead over American Brooks Koepka after Saturday's completion of the second round of the US PGA Tour Shriners Hospitals tournament at Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pampling completed a three-under par 68 on Friday at TPC Summerlin to stand on 14-under 128 through 36 holes with Koepka on 129 after firing a 67 Friday. Of 19 players still on the course when darkness fell Friday, the lone challenger for the lead was South African-born American Aaron Wise.
Wise, who began on the back nine, completed his last four holes of round two on Saturday and took a bogey at the par-4 seventh on his way to a 65 to stumble back into a share of third with American Chris Kirk after 36 holes on 131.
Australia's Cameron Smith finished off a second-round 68 on Saturday to share 12th on 134. In all, 74 players made the cut at 139 and the third round playing in threesomes in a bid to get the event back on schedule.
