Augusta, United States, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2019 ) :Reigning British Open champion Francesco Molinari fired a six-under par 66 to seize a two-stroke lead over Tiger Woods and Tony Finau after Saturday's third round of the Masters.
Italy's Molinari, who collected his first major title last year at Carnoustie, stood on 13-under 203 for 54 holes at Augusta National.
Woods, a 14-time major winner seeking his first major crown since the 2008 US Open, fired a 67 to grab a share of second with fellow American Finau, who shot 64, one off the course record.
Four-time Masters champion Woods, who has not won a green jacket since 2005, had six birdies against a lone bogey to roars of delight from the crowd.
World number 12 Woods has never won a major when he was not at least sharing the lead entering the final round.
But the 43-year-old American superstar who returned from spinal fusion surgery last year sparkled, answering a bogey at the fifth with birdies on the next three holes.
He followed with birdies at the par-5 13th and 15th and added his third in four holes at the par-3 16th.
