Pakistan Air Force Beat Sri Lankan Air Force Team By 1-0 In Tri-Soccer-Series

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Dec, 2016 ) : Pakistan Air Force team defeated Sri Lankan Air Force by solitary goal in the opening match of the Tri-Soccer-Series which got underway at Sri Lankan Capital City Colombo on Monday.
This was stated by Director sports PAF Sports Control Committee Group Captain Asghar Awan while talking to APP on phone. He disclosed that the team of Pakistan Air Force was warmly received at the Colombo Airport by the officials of the Sri Lankan Air Force and the whole team was garlanded well before the bilateral series between the two brotherly countries.
He said Pakistan Air Force team will play Tri-Series of Football against Sri Lankan Air Force at Colombo. It is because of the personal interest of the Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman that PAF football team has gone abroad after a period of 29 long years for any football series, Group Captain Asghar Awan informed.
He said Pakistan Air Force team previously visited Bangladesh in 1987 for Asian Championship wherein PAF represented Pakistan as Champion team. He said after the Pakistan Air Force team visit, the team of Sri Lankan Air Force will also visit Pakistan in February 2017 for the second phase of the bilateral Series.
Earlier, Pakistan Air Force team recorded victory in the opening match of the three matches series against Sri Lankan Air Force team. AWO Mansoor was the scorer who slammed in a beautiful goal in the 18th minute of the match.
