Punjab Players Have Great Sports Talent, Secretary Sports

Secretary Sports Punjab, Muhammad Aamir Jan said the Punjab players are enriched with great sports talent which is evident from their outstanding achievements in the field of sports
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2017 ) :Secretary Sports Punjab, Muhammad Aamir Jan said the Punjab players are enriched with great sports talent which is evident from their outstanding achievements in the field of sports.
"Punjab grabbed top position in Quaid-i-Azam Inter-Provincial Games 2016 and we will defend our title in the forthcoming 2nd edition of the Games being held at Islamabad from December 25-29, 2017", he expressed these views during his visit of Quaid-i-Azam Day Wushu Championship at Sports board Punjab Gymnasium Hall here on Wednesday.
It's pertinent to mention here that the Wushu championship will also act as qualification event for upcoming Quaid-i-Azam Inter-Provincial Games. The trials committee gave a detailed briefing to Secretary Sports regarding process of trials.
Director Admin Javed Rasheed Chohan and President Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Ch Yaqoob and other officials were also present on this occasion. The organizers of Quaid-i-Azam Day Wushu Championship warmly received the Secretary Sports Muhammad Aamir Jan upon his arrival in the gymnasium hall.
Aamir Jan also demonstrated his skills in dart game. He inspected the arrangements of Wushu and dart competitions at Sports Board Punjab Gymnasium Hall and lauded the performance of young male and female players.
Secretary Sports further said that Punjab athletes will compete against players from across the country in the Games and will rise to the occasion by putting up impressive show. "The Punjab players will be provided best facilities at training camps".
He directed the trials committee to follow merit policy strictly while selecting players for the mega event. It is worth mentioning that the trials for the selection of Punjab athletics, hockey, football (men), badminton, baseball, tennis, taekwondo, kabaddi, judo, boxing, wrestling, squash, netball and snooker teams will be held at various venues in Lahore from tomorrow, Thursday.
