Quetta Gladiators Reach Final Of PSL-4 After Beating Peshawar Zalmi By 10 Runs

Zalmi will try it luck on Friday against the winner of the match between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings to qualify for the final
KARACHI- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 13th March, 2019) Quetta Gladiators have qualified for the final of Pakistan Super League after beating Peshawar Zalmi by 10 scores in a thriller played at Karachi’s National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Batting first, the Sarfraz team set a target of 187 runs for the Zalmi who failed to chase it in 20 overs.
The PZ made 176 at the loss of seven wickets. DGJ Sammy was the highest scorers with 46 runs off 21 balls followed by KA Pollard who made 44 off 22 balls. Openers Kamran Akmal made 22 and Imam-ul-Haq 23 but no other player made a considerable addition to the scoreboard. Misbah ul Haq scored 18, Shoaib Maqsood 7, LA Dawson five while Wahab Riaz and Hassan Ali went not out on zero and three.
Muhammad Hasnain dismissed took players while Muhammad Nawaz, RR Rossouw, Ahsan Ali and SR Watson took one wicket each.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi have won the toss and opted to ball first against the Gladiators. SR Watson and Ahmed Shehzad opened the inning but the QG met an early blow when Mills dismissed Ahmed Shehzad at one score off 4 balls in just the 2nd over.
Ahsan Ali and Shan Watson took the charge and made a partnership of 117 runs.
Wahab Riaz dismissed Watson at score of 71 while Ahsan Ali got LBW at score of 46. RP Rossouw made 11 runs, Umar Akmal 22 and Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed 12. Muhammad Nawaz and DJ Bravo went not out on scores of two and 12.
Hassan Ali, Sameen Gul, TS Mills and KA Pollard got one wicket each while Wahab Riaz dismissed two players of QG.
The winner qualified for the final and now Peshawar Zalmi will play against the winner of the match between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings to make another quest to qualify for the final.
The match between QG and PZ started at 7 pm amid tight security arrangements. A large number of cricket lovers watched the game.
