Russian National Ice Hockey Team Beats Latvia 3:1 At 2019 IIHF World Championship

The Russian national ice hockey team won on Saturday the fifth match in a row at the 2019 IIHF World Championship, having beaten the Latvian team 3:1
The first period was won by Latvia with the only goal having been scored by Oskars Cibulskis in the 11th minute.
Russia secured the victory and the final score in the second period, with the goals having been scored by Dmitri Orlov (21st minute), Nikita Gusev (24th minute) and Nikita Kucherov (33rd minute).
The Russian national team, thus, qualified for the quarterfinal of the tournament. Russia is also one out of the three teams that have not lost ant point yet, along with Switzerland and Germany.
The 2019 IIHF World Championship is hosted by the Slovak cities of Bratislava and Kosice.
