Security Arrangements For Pak-Ban Cricket Matches Reviewed: Raja Basharat

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2020 ) :Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat on Wednesday said that arrangements had been finalised to ensure foolproof security during Pakistan-Bangladesh T-20 cricket matches.
He expressed these views while presiding over the meeting of Cabinet Committee for Law and Order at Qaddafi Stadium held to review security arrangements.
The officials of law enforcement agencies briefed the meeting about security and traffic plan.
The meeting was briefed that arrangements, including parking stands, lighting and bus shuttle service, had been finalised to facilitate people.
Raja Basharat said that strict checking should be ensured at all entry and exit points of the Qaddafi Stadium, adding that all resources should be utilised to protect people and players.
He directed the officials to ensure smooth traffic flow on roads and set up diversions to divert the traffic on alternative roads so that people could not face any difficulties.
Later, he expressed satisfaction over security arrangements and said that healthy environment would be provided to people so that they could come and enjoy cricket matches.
Provincial Ministers Hashim Dogar, Ansar Majeed, Rai Tainoor, Addl Chief Secretary Momin Agha, IGP Shoaib Dastgir and others attended the meeting.
