The 37-year-old Englishman -- who has also accrued three British Opens and three World Opens during his stellar career -- told The Times on Saturday Ennis-Hill had dispelled his most recent bout of self doubt.

He was the latest top athlete to feature naked in the paper's series 'My Sporting Body' with British cycling great Chris Froome having already been snapped nude on his bicycle. "She (Ennis-Hill) is one of my wife's closest friends but we don't really speak about sport," said Matthew, whose wife Esme is a sports physiologist.
