Over 25m People Contacted Under Citizen Feedback Programme

Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme (CFMP), an initiative of the Punjab government and overseen by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), has contacted over 25 million citizens to date.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme (CFMP), an initiative of the Punjab government and overseen by Punjab Information Technology board (PITB), has contacted over 25 million citizens to date.
It was informed in a project progress review meeting held under PITB Chairman Dr Umar Saif, here.
Giving breakup of the actions taken in response to citizens' feedback, it was informed that more than 40,000 corrective actions had been taken by the district officials which included 8,018 grievances redressed, 5,275 warnings issued, 2,405 coached, 1,256 show-cause notices issued, 137 transferred, 117 penalties imposed, 41 suspended and five made OSDs.
Dr Umar Saif said that CFMP was a globally recognized programme, which has been commended and acknowledged by world's prominent universities like Princeton in their case studies and in articles published by reputed magazines such as Foreign Policy, The Guardian, The Economist etc.
This initiative had also been replicated and adopted by Albania and Romania to improve public service delivery, he maintained.
The CFMP was not an individual complaint redress mechanism, he said and asserted that it was in fact a feedback gathering mechanism that collected feedback from identified citizens who utilize public services such as driving license issuance, property registration, domicile issuance, publicsector hospitals etc; and had expanded rapidly to cover 27 services in all 36 districts across Punjab.
