MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 05th February, 2019) The experience of conducting combat operations with the help of high-precision weapons in Syria demonstrated that Russia needs to re-equip the orbital group of military spacecraft, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday.

"Syrian experience shows that effective use of high-precision weapons requires detailed reconnaissance and cartographic data. Such data can be obtained only via modern satellites capable of surveying the Earth's surface in high definition," Shoigu said, adding that the Russian Defense Ministry was already actively working on the task.
