Charity Plans To Lift 3,500 Households Out Of Poverty In Mongolia

World Vision, an international charity operating in Mongolia, announced Tuesday that it will lift 3,500 households out of poverty in Mongolia by the end of 2019, within the framework of its "Poverty, solutions and ways" project.
ULAN BATOR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :World Vision, an international charity operating in Mongolia, announced Tuesday that it will lift 3,500 households out of poverty in Mongolia by the end of 2019, within the framework of its "Poverty, solutions and ways" project.
"We started implementing the project since the beginning of 2017. Currently, over 600 households have been removed from the poverty list," T.
Enkhtsetseg, World Vision Mongolia national coordinator for the technical support and assistance department, said.
The aim is to lift 2,900 households out of poverty by the end of next year. The project also seeks to eliminate malnutrition among poor households and improve livelihoods and social welfare services.
According to a survey by the National Statistical Office of Mongolia in 2016, this Asian country with a population of over 3 million has nearly 30 percent living in poverty.
