Fan's "lucky" Carpet Inspires New Shirt For Russia's Rostov

Moscow, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Aug, 2018 ) :Russian league high-flyers Rostov have released a limited-edition shirt decorated with a distinctive brown carpet design after a fan went viral by waving his "lucky" carpet at a match.

The southern Russian club said Tuesday that more than 500 people have already ordered one of the brown-and-yellow "carpet-style" shirts priced at 2,500 roubles ($37, 32 Euros).

After Rostov lost a home match to Samara on August 13, Alexei Kumovskoy, one of the club's most passionate fans, decided to take his "lucky" carpet to the home stands on Sunday to bring his favourites better luck, Russian media reported.

Kumovskoy waved the threadbare carpet in the stands and its apparently worked as Rostov thrashed the visitors Yenisei Krasnoyarsk 4-0.

Rostov bosses also noticed Kumovskoy's exploit, and the huge reaction on social media, and invited him to the training base, where he took part in a photo session with head coach Valery Karpin and the players.

Kumovskoy presented the carpet to the club who are using it for its intended purpose and have laid it on the floor of the training ground reception.
