Portugal's Former PM Will Be Next UN Secretary General

(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th October, 2016) : Portugal's former Prime Minister Antonio Guterres has emerged to become the next UN secretary general. A formal vote will take place in the UN Security Council today to confirm the choice of nominee. Antonio Guterres, who led the UN refugee agency for 10 years, will take over from Ban Ki-moon early next year.
