Sudan Interested In Purchasing Russian Weaponry For Infantry - Sudanese Corporation

Sudan is interested in purchasing Russian weaponry for infantry as well as acquiring technologies for the armored vehicles' production and will hold meetings with representatives of Russian companies at the IDEX-2019 military exhibition, Ibrahim Abdel Basit, the managing director of the Sudanese Military Industry Corporation (MIC), told Sputnik on Monday
ABU DHABI (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th February, 2019) Sudan is interested in purchasing Russian weaponry for infantry as well as acquiring technologies for the armored vehicles' production and will hold meetings with representatives of Russian companies at the IDEX-2019 military exhibition, Ibrahim Abdel Basit, the managing director of the Sudanese Military Industry Corporation (MIC), told Sputnik on Monday.
"There are agreed meetings with Russian companies today. We are interested in Russian weapons for infantry and technologies for the production of armored vehicles," Abdel Basit said.
The International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) began on Sunday in Abu Dhabi and will last through Thursday.
According to the organizers, the UAE Armed Forces have signed several deals worth more than four billion Dirhams ($1 billion) with domestic and foreign companies since the beginning of the event.
