MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th November, 2018) UK Prime Minister Theresa May could soon face a no confidence vote amid criticism of the Brexit draft deal recently backed by the Cabinet, UK media reported on Friday.
All government whips have been asked to drop anything else on their schedule and come back to London, as a no confidence vote is "likely," a source told Sky news broadcaster.
A number of Conservative Party lawmakers said Thursday they had submitted letters to the House of Commons' 1922 Committee, requesting a no confidence vote.
On Thursday, May defended the draft Brexit deal in the House of Commons. The agreement faced criticism from the opposition. Several members of the UK government have resigned over the disagreement with the deal.
