KIEV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th March, 2019) Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Monday that in the coming days he would participate in the tests of Bayraktar unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) that Kiev purchased from Ankara.
In January, Poroshenko announced that Kiev had signed an agreement for the supply of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones for the Ukrainian army.
Yury Biryukov, an adviser to the Ukrainian president and to the Ukrainian defense minister, then said that drones would be delivered to Kiev along with its complementary parts.
"The day after tomorrow I will visit one of Ukraine's regions, where I will participate directly in the tests of unmanned combat aerial vehicles that we received under a contract and arrangement with the Turkish president," Poroshenko said as quoted by Ukraine's ICTV channel.
According to the Ukrainian president, the UCAVs will significantly increase combat abilities of the country's battle units.
