Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan has announced that CNG fuel stations in Sindh would resume operations at 8 pm on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference here at Governor House, he said the crisis had emerged following the fall in natural gas production by 80mmcfd in two fields of the province.
Half of the lost production had been recovered and supplies would normalise in a couple of days, Sarwar Khan added.
The minister said that gas supply to captive power plants of export industries would resume from Sunday. Gas volumes for them would, however, remain low at 50% during three months of winter.
He also sought the cooperation of Sindh Government and other stake holders to resolve the gas supply issue.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and local leaders of PTI were also present on the occasion.
