GORKI (Moscow Region) (UrduPoint news / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Monday invited foreign investors to take part in the ongoing Open Innovations international forum in Moscow and in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in 2019.
The Open Innovations Forum is being held at the Skolkovo innovation center in the Russian capital on October 15-17.
"One of the key directions of Russia's development in the coming years will be new technologies and digital economy. The entire world is engaged [in these fields] and, naturally we are following the trend of social development. I traditionally invite all those present, who have time and desire, to attend the Open Innovations which is currently being held at the Skolkovo innovation center.
The forum has established itself as a useful negotiating forum, which gives birth to new projects, brings together leading experts and generates quite bold ideas," Medvedev said at the meeting of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council.
According to the Russian prime minister, the participation of foreign investors in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is scheduled for June 6-8, 2019, might also be useful.
"I would like to say once again that I and my colleagues are still open for frank discussions," Medvedev stated.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held annually in Russia's second largest city of St. Petersburg, is a major global platform for communication between business representatives and the discussion of crucial economic issues.
