Russia's Wheat Exports Up 35.7% Year-on-Year as of September 20 - Agriculture Ministry

Russia exported 11,155 million tonnes of wheat since the beginning of the 2018-2019 crop year (July 1), increasing its wheat exports by 35.7 percent year-on-year, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said on Monday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th September, 2018) Russia exported 11,155 million tonnes of wheat since the beginning of the 2018-2019 crop year (July 1), increasing its wheat exports by 35.7 percent year-on-year, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said on Monday.

According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, Russia exported a total of 13,205 million tonnes of grain in the 2018-2019 crop year, as of September 20, which is 23.4 percent more than in the same period of the 2017-2018 year. The figures include 11,155 million tonnes of wheat, 1.53 million tonnes of barley and 397,000 tonnes of corn.

Russia's grain exports have amounted to 52.42 million tonnes, including 40.45 million tonnes of wheat. The Russian Agriculture Ministry expects grain exports in the current agricultural year to total 35-37 million tonnes, including 30 million tonnes of wheat.
